Christmas was lovely! It was much easier than a previous year with a newborn, we felt more organized and not so stretched. This season lights up my life! I LOVE everything about Christmas and what the season has to offer. (Not all pictures are shown here as many were on the phone. Some day I will add them all to this post).
Our tiny bunny is ONE!
Amelia Joy, my sweet angel, you are one year young! You have been a dream with your precious blue eyes and the loveliest smile. Mommy, daddy, sissy and brother are all so madly in love with you and perhaps that’s why you are a “little” spoiled 😉 You light up our life! You are quite the talker, you have a very large vocabulary and have begun to talk at two months. Your first word was “mama” and no one could believe it but daddy and mama heard you say it over and over again, especially when you were sad and wanted mama : ) Today, you say mama, daddy, Bella, Joshy, papa, nana, this, milk, rain, dog, hi, bye, I love you, tree, yeah, yogurt, apple, go, car, over there. You make a sound for doggy, horse, lion and cat. Your favorite little stuffed animal is “Marie” from Aristocrats and you light up when you see her : ) You love playing with your Sissy and Joshy and chase them around while they laugh and run : ) You love your little walker, zebra and you push buttons like a champ. You love to knock down towers that your sissy and brother build for you : ) When you swing you say “wee” an it’s most precious! You still love to drink your “milky” and other food has been a bit challenging as you are very picky. Currently you love strawberries, grapes, eggs, chicken, cheddar bunnies, apples and smoothies. To mama’s big surprise you don’t like cheese, but I figured you will figure out how amazing it is and will love it one day : ) You love to hold and play with any kind of little lotion tube. Light switches are one of the favorite things to play with also. The little kitchen has been a hit and you have most recently began enjoying putting things in cups and taking them out. Paper plates are also amazing as you love to scatter them around the kitchen floor. Dish washer always calls your name when mama opens it, you rush to make sure you can take out any silverware and throw it on the floor. It’s a bit challenging for mama to get things done when you are not sleeping as you want to be held all the time! That means, mama constantly looks for things to do for you and it gets tricky at times 🙂 Your favorite TV shows are Baby Genius and Baby Praise, you love to dance and move your little hands, it’s beyond darling. You are quite brilliant in so many ways! You have been doing everything at your own pace and there is no way mommy and daddy would have it any other way. You are our sunshine and we love you to the moon and back forever! May God be your guiding point and light upon your life. Hugs and kisses out little peach!
Thanksgiving 2016
This day always serves as an amazing reminder how truly blessed we are. The country we live in, health, our homes, food and most of all family! Day to day busyness steals joy and we take so many things for granted. Lord, we are grateful! Thank you sweet Jesus for your sacrifice and all that we are and all that we have today!
We had a sweet little getaway to Monterey in November. Free access to Monterey Bay Aquarium seemed to be a good reason to go on a little vacation, so we did. It was Amelia’s first time at the aquarium and ocean. Sweet girl loved the ocean but wasn’t sure about the sand. Over all we had a wonderful time.
Halloween 2016
Moments like these are hard to come by but we make sure to make it happen. Time with my precious mama is priceless. This time we went to Napa and visited a lovely Sterling Vineyards. Once you take a trip on the gondola, the view of the valley is absolutely breathtaking! We talked a lot, laughed a lot and just rested.
Pumpkin Patch 2016
Bishop’s pumpkin patch is one of our favorite places to go as it’s full of adventures for kids. If you want to ride a train, they have it, if you want to zip line, it’s there, if you want to go on a hay ride, you got it and so much more. We love this season and all that comes with it. One of our highlights was definitely going out on a hay ride and picking out the perfect pumpkins 🙂 (Posted for October 2016)
Uncle O’s Birthday
It might have been over a year since anything has been updated, but here we go! Life has been a world wind of happenings and busyness but in the midst of it all we are beyond blessed! We enjoyed a beautiful lake while celebrating our sweet uncle “O” The kiddos love him immensely and it was an absolute joy to have family together. (Posted for September, 2016)
Valentine’s Day
Clearly I am behind if I am writing about Valentine’s Day in May- ha! I had the most lovely Valentine’s day. It was very different from all others as we were celebrating as a family of 5 🙂 This year, we have decided to take the kiddos to see “Disney on Ice- Frozen” Since someone had to stay with our tiny Valentine, I got to take the kiddos. It was Joshy’s first Disney on Ice and he loved it, especially the part with “Marshmallow” on stage chasing characters around 🙂 My honey surprised me with the most beautiful bouquet and I got to make them a special breakfast 🙂 It was a day full of Love for sure! I am beyond grateful for our precious family!
