Truckee Cabin

It has become somewhat a tradition that our side of the family leaves the everyday busy life and goes up to Truckee, the majestic mountains where you can feel nothing, but the presence of our Heavenly Father. It’s a blessing to have a friend who is very generous to let us use their cabin a couple of times a year. This year was even more special, because it was Oleg’s birthday and Joshy joined us 🙂 To make it even more exciting, him, Barry and a few other guys, decided to participate in Tough Mudder, which consists of many different obstacle courses, including wall climbing, mud pits, ice baths, monkey bars and many more. Needless to say, the boys did great and came home as stinky as they get but everyone was healthy and that is what’s most important. We celebrated the big day with a wonderful meal and galore of desserts, followed by family time and presents. There never seems enough time to take all of the beauty in, but a couple of nice walks were an absolute blessing. The girls, even managed to squeeze in some girl time in the three short days that we were there. This year, we added another little shopper, my princess and she enjoyed it fully. I am feeling very blessed and grateful for such wonderful family gatherings, and hoping for many more to come.
