You Are Six!
Guess who turned 6? My beautiful and precious daughter! My sweet, sweet Bella, you are 6 baby! I couldn’t stop starring at you on the day you turned six and had a hard time wrapping it around my mind. Just rewinding all of the years and how quickly they are passing by… I keep asking how is it possible that six years have gone by in a flash? You are a gift from our Heavenly Father! We enjoy you immensely and are proud to be your parents. You are kind, loving, caring, charming, giving, compassionate, intelligent, the list can go on. You are exciding with your studies and are learning 1st grade material. You love to learn and you love school! You have memorized many poems and Bible passages this year. You have also memorized many songs and different History, Math and Science facts. You LOVE art! You draw, paint, work with clay or anything artistic constantly. It’s such joy to see your mind come on paper and your creativity does not cease to amaze me. You were lovely dancing while taking ballet classes, we are now moving on to piano lessons and I hope you enjoy it. You have been the most amazing big sissy and your love for Amelia blows us away. You and Joshy can’t stop talking about how much you love her and how cute she is. When you met her for the first time, your first words were: “I am so glad we get to take her home and keep her” I thought it was the most precious moment. You are also an outstanding reader, you have gone from reading smaller books to chapter books. You love it when daddy and mommy read to you, and we love reading to you and Joshy. This year we have been reading Little House on the Prairie and so far we have gone through four books. We have also read Narnia, Secret Garden and Peter Pen. You have enjoyed all of those books thoroughly. You have also blossomed in school, Classical Conversations. Your presentations are wonderful and full of life. You have become more outgoing and outspoken and you always make sure you knit your thoughts intricately before you speak. Lissy is still your very best friend and my heart is happy to see you grow up together. Joshy’s and your relationship puts a huge smile on my face. You two are the bestest of friends and love being together. You never seem to enjoy anything without each other, it’s quite precious and I treasure the moments I get to share with you two J This year you have thrived at putting puzzles together, you are quick and amazing at making those pictures come alive. Frozen is still your favorite animated movie as well as the characters. You have a lovely voice and love to sing, you care for people deeply and always want to surprise them with one of your art pieces. Mommy and daddy love finding surprises you leave for us and your constant reminder of how much you love us. Daddy and I pray for you precious one, that you will thrive in this life and will carry the light of your Creator. You make us very proud and we couldn’t have asked for a better daughter. Happy 6th birthday love!
You Are Five!
My little love, you are FIVE! What? Do I have a five year old? Mama still has to pinch herself from time to time that you are five. You are one amazing little girl. A girl who loves God and talks to Him “all the time” as you say. A girl that loves to just come up and give you a giant kiss and a hug and remind you that you are her favorite mommy in the whole wide world J You love books, you can read for hours and not stop, just one after another. Some of the long chapter books mommy and daddy have completed reading to you: Narnia, Big Woods, Peter Pan, Little House on the Prairie, Secret Garden. You love asking questions, the words you don’t know or content that you don’t quite understand and I love that, because you are learning. Your art has been absolutely breath taking, you draw and color from your own ideas and the detail work is very intricate. You love to ride your bike and you don’t know it yet, but you know how to ride a bike without training wheels. Daddy still spots you but you are riding all on your own. You are a good reader but you don’t like to read and mommy is still trying to figure out how we can make reading on our own more fun. You love to use scissors; you can cut things out for hours. Lately you have been writing a lot, whether it’s your own story or something you found somewhere on a box or a flyer, you will just sit and copy text after text. Your handwriting is just beautiful honey! Every time I look at you, I know you will do great things in this world, in the lives of people. Your soft and tender heart will help you move mountains one day. You have been making up songs and singing them quite lovely. When we talk about growing up, you always say: “Mommy, I don’t want to grow up, I want to be just the way I am forever.” Then I proceed to ask you why you would like to remain a child and you give me a huge list of things you get to do while you are a kid, and I always tell you that no matter how old you are, you can always be at kid in your heart. People love kids and those young at heart, therefore you can always be a kid, even in your 70’s or 90’s J You and I have been talking lately and we decided that we will write a book together. I am not sure what the book will be about just yet, but I know it will be fantastic, because it will have a “Bella” touch J Mommy and daddy love you to the moon and back forever and we pray for God to do great things in your life and the people that are in it. Kisses!!!
January, 2014
My most wonderful baby girl, you are now FOUR years young. The more I think about that number, the more my head spins from realizing how fast the time has gone by. Every day, I look at you, I praise God for creating such a gorgeous human being and better yet, gifting you to me and daddy to raise you! One thing I want you to always know is you are perfect and loved. You were designed by a Creator that does NOT make mistakes, and He loves you more than I or anyone else will ever know. I believe that I love you more than I can fathom, but God loves you more! I have been telling you this, almost daily and the other day you came up to me and said: “Mommy, did you know that God loves me more than you and daddy love me” I almost wanted to cry when you said those words. I want it to be engraved on your little heart until the end of time, because the biggest message in life is LOVE! You have been the most loving little girl; you learned very quickly the importance of giving and loving. You shine when you play with your brother and friends. Of course we all have challenging moments in life and there are moments when it’s difficult to love, but I encourage you baby to simply go to your Creator in prayer and ask Him to help you love. You are a very bright little girl and your memory still astonishes me daily. You have memorized numbers and numbers of books that we read to you and correct us if something is read differently. I love to hear you sing and you pretty much always hum a tune while you draw, learn or play. It’s so fun for me to watch you blossom! You are a very good reader; we just need to work on switching to reading on your own. You have a passion for painting and ask me to paint daily. You can produce 3-4 paintings in one sitting and you are always eager to bless friends and family with your art work. You still love Curious George; it almost seems that you like him more than you did last year. Daddy and I have bought you many books so that we can read them instead of watching him on TV. You already have a lot of them memorized: ) I get amazed how much you learn from George stories. One of my favorite moments is when you asked me: “Mama, do you know what this triangle is for”, while holding up a plastic cup and pointing at the bottom. I asked you what it was for and you told me that it means we can recycle that cup. I was shocked to hear you say that, as I didn’t remember teaching you that. I asked you how you knew and you told me, you learned it from George. So, that tells you we approve of the monkey George. I have recorded one of the sweetest memories that happened on September 10, 2013. You woke up that morning and as always walked over to our room. I asked you if you slept well and this was your response: “I had the fastest dream, which means I slept good. It was the most beautiful, beautiful dream”. Mama: “Really honey, what was it about?” You: “It was about rainbows”. Mama: “I wish I dreamed about rainbows.” You: “You can borrow some of mine mama.” Here are some of your other comments that you have made in the last year. They bring me nothing but joy : )
February 19, 2013. Mama: “Bella, when papa says that he is old, what do you tell him?” You: “You are new” : )
July 6, 2013. You: “Is daddy the best wife you have ever seen?”
These are just a few that were recorded in my phone, but there is something amazingly funny that comes out of your mouth daily. Today, you looked outside from second floor window and said, “Mommy, I feel like I am the tallest girl in the world” I love you forever my sweet girl and may you grown into a wonderful woman of God. Kisses and hugs forever!

I am a big girl, I am THREE!
Where do I begin….
I have been one busy little girl. Having school time, almost on daily basis, going to ballet lessons, drawing, painting, putting puzzles together, going on little trips and simply just being a three year old. Sometimes mommy and daddy tell me that I am a teenager in a three year old body. I don’t quite understand that, but I am sure I will someday. My vocabulary is growing constantly and I use big words like, disappointed, organize, circumstances, excited, interesting, consequences, serious and many more. I also use them in the correct content if I might add 😉 My imagination has been growing also and I love to play with toys while I imagine and pretend : ) I absolutely love to read. Many of the books I know by heart and still ask a lot of questions. I have been reading with mommy almost every day. Three to four letter words so far, but I still have ways to go. I have been interested in telling time but not too seriously. My mommy told me when I learn to tell time, she will buy me my own watch. I am so excited! My favorite toys are Dr. McStuffins, Lambie, Mr. Snuggles, Misha and Rosie. Things that make me nervous a little, balance bike, darkness, big slides in the park and big groups of people. I have been swinging on the big girl swing at the park and I love it every time. I hear my mommy used to love to swing, I think she still does, because every time she gets a chance to get on the swing, she swings 😉 I tell mommy and daddy that I love them to the moon and back and that they are my most precious mommy and daddy in the whole wide world. I think they like hearing that : ) Sometimes, I have trouble with not listening, but I have been so much better and the whole sharing stuff with Joshy has been better also. I have my bad days, but mostly it’s really good and I make sure I give him kisses. I love my brother Joshy! He is such a cute little boy. He is not a baby anymore but a big boy, because he eats with a fork. I make sure to remind mommy that he is a big boy now. He eats pretty much everything I eat, except candy. Mommy says he is too little to have candy but he does get cookies from time to time. Once he discovered what cookie dough is, it’s been very hard to keep him away from the mixer when mommy makes cookies. I love playing with my brother, especially when we have “run races” around the house. He can run now, so it has been a lot more fun to play with him.
Another big thing is I have really been enjoying going to Sunday school, I call it “little church” because mommy and daddy go to “big church” and listen to sermons. I have gone a couple of times and liked it a lot. I like that I get to learn more about Jesus and do many different projects. I have been asking a lot of questions about Jesus and His death. I love listening to Bible stories every day. My daddy reads to me every single night before I go to bed.
I still enjoy watching Curious George a lot, it’s definitely my favorite. Then I also enjoy SuperWhy and Blues Clues. Life is a lot of fun and I love it!
** Some of the phrases/questions, I have been saying that make mommy and daddy laugh
“I am so disappointed that we can not go to the park today”
“My eyes are filling up with tears, because I thought we were lost”
“I am not afraid of the dark, because I am a big girl”
“Mama, this is too difficult for me and I need you to help me please”
“When I grow up, I will run a marathon with you mama”
“Why were there so many people at my birthday party? I did not like that very much” (oh my!)
…and there are so many more…

Almost 3 years!
Where shall I begin, this last month has been a blast. I did so many new and fun things, I can’t even begin to describe it all. I guess starting with a ballet show would be a good first step 😉 Mommy and Nana took me to see the Nutcracker show and wow! First when mama mentioned taking me, I got so excited, I said: “Wow, I can’t wait” and had a huge grin on my face. As the day approached I was told I get to wear a pretty dress to the show and I got even more excited. I asked mama every day for about a week if it was the day that we go to see the Nutcracker. Finally the day has come and I was not quite sure what to expect. The theater was huge, full of people and once the lights went out and the music started to play, I got a little bit scared, but mama reassured me that all was ok and that I just needed to watch. Then I saw my first live ballerina and I was so happy. I was clapping with all the people around me and smiling until I saw the nutcracker breaking and that pretty much summed it all up for me. Mama and Nana told me the whole story so that I would understand what was happening but that dramatic scene would not leave my mind. I know the ending and it’s happy but I still ask from time to time, “why did the boy break the nutcracker”? Until mama finally asks me the same question and I answer her with the right answer. I loved the show so much, that I told mama and nana that one day it will be me on the stage and they both seemed very happy to hear that. I have also been asking mama to go ballet dancing ever since and she promised that she will take me. In fact just a few days ago, we went and signed up for a class J I can’t wait! So, that was about the Nutcracker. I also got to decorate a ginger bread house and I sure loved it. My favorite part was eating the candy and I didn’t give up on asking mama: “Can I please eat this one and lick this spetula and try the cookie”? Most of the responses were “No honey” but then there were a few “Yes’s” and I got to eat some candy. It was the most beautiful ginger bread house I have ever seen. Mama said I did a great job decorating it with candy and I was pretty proud myself. One super fun thing that I just must share is about my new friend “Elfie”. One morning I woke up and noticed a super cute elf sitting and staring at my Christmas tree. I smiled really big and mama asked me what I saw. I told her I saw an elf and wanted to know where he came from, so mama told me all about the North Pole. We set down and thought for a while what to name the cute elf, until I settled on “Elfie” and mama thought it was a super cute name. Elfie is quite magical, he can never be touched and he is a sneaky little guy. I made sure to tell nana and papa when they came over one evening to “Never, never, never touch the Elfie” They understood and never did. His favorite thing was to sneak around and hide and then Joshy and I would look for him. We had sooooo much fun. He even sneaked in the car a few times, I love calling him sneaky. He brought me presents every day, anything from stickers to socks, I loved every single one of them. Then of course he had to leave and I missed him dearly, but I sure was happy to find out that he will be back next year J I learned one thing this year, I love Christmas. Not just because of presents but because I found out that it’s about baby Jesus who was born. Mama and I sang many many many Christmas carols and songs and I love them all. One of my favorites is “Holy Night” and of course “Rudolph the red nose reindeer” I can sing so many songs. I love singing, and dancing of course. I enjoyed giving presents this year and I loved going and doing nice things for people that could not have as much as I do with mommy and daddy and Joshy. Merry Christmas to all!
Another super exciting thing I got to do was to go to the snow. I got to play with my cousins, Ava and Penny and see some more of family. Mama and Joshy had to stay home, because Joshy was sick. I missed them, but still had loads of fun.

2 1/2, almost 3 🙂
I have been one busy girl. Starting with learning to read and going to San Francisco zoo and working on all sorts of projects almost daily has been quite an ordeal. I love to learn, anything and everything and if I don’t know something, I make sure to always ask the big question, “Why”? Sometimes I can tell that it’s not the best question to ask, as I ask “why” for each answer and it seems to never stop until mommy or daddy asks me the same question and then it puts it to an end (what fun) 😉 I love to work with glue, and my recent favorite has been tracing. I love to trace letters and I am getting quite good at it, my mommy tells me all the time, how much progress I am making. We do anything from coloring to cutting and gluing and counting and reading and jumping and twirling and play with puppets. Did I tell you that I absolutely LOVE puppets? I ask mommy and daddy to constantly play with puppets. My current favorite is the “Dragon”. Daddy does a great job, being the “dragon”. My vocabulary is growing daily, sometimes mommy and daddy can not believe the words that are coming out of my mouth, such as “excited”, “concerned”, “transition”, “complicated”, and so many more. I have seen mommy and daddy re-ask me questions to make sure that it was the word that they heard and pretty much all of the time it is. I love telling stories, I usually start them off with “once upon a time”. I also love to hear stories, it’s something I do not get tired of. My current favorite book is “Cat in the Hat.” One thing I am having a hard time with is making things perfect, making sure everything lines up correctly, no matter what I am working on and when it does not, I start making quite a fuss about it. Mommy hopes I outgrow this stage, but we will have to see.
It is still difficult to tell whether I will write with my right or left hand, as I like to switch off almost every time I work on writing. I draw with my left, write with both and normally go for things with my left.
I have been enjoying Joshy more and more lately as he is growing and becoming more active. One thing that is very hard for me is to share my toys with him, especially when I see him going for a certain toy. There are definitely a lot of tears involved when it comes to sharing, but mommy and daddy have hope and tell me that it will get easier to share with time. They always say, when we love, we share and I definitely love Joshy. I love to pray, not only at meals, but also right before bed time. I am usually very grateful for all of the family that I have and of course ice cream and cookies. I love sweets! I especially love to help mommy in the kitchen when she cooks or bakes, because then I get to taste everything 🙂

My Life
It has been a little while since I have written a little update on here, so I figured it was time. There are so many things happening in my life. I have finally mastered going on a potty! I feel very proud of myself and still make sure I get a gummy bear each time I go on my little potty 🙂 If you haven’t tried gummy bears, you are missing out and must do so immediately- those are the best! My vocabulary has also grown significantly and I don’t stop talking and asking questions. Sometimes, mommy and daddy have a hard time keeping me quiet. I have also learned to draw circles and ovals that actually look like circles and ovals 🙂 When my mommy saw my first circle, she almost broke into tears and was celebrating with me 🙂 I did that on May 8, 2012. I also figured out how to put on one of my pairs of shoes 🙂 Another thing, my mommy had the hardest time believing. Now I just put them on and ask to go outside. I have been enjoying bubbles more than ever, I am not sure why I like them so much, but I do, in fact I love them! On April 26th, I had my 2 year check up and everything went great. I am one healthy baby girl, i weigh 30lbs and am 34″ tall 🙂
Just yesterday, I went to Lissy’s birthday party. She is now 3 years old, such a big girl! I will be 3 soon, as I tell my mommy quite often, “Mama, my birthday is coming up”, and she always tells me that I am correct, it is coming up but is not going to be here for a while. I had so much fun at Lissy’s party, we jumped in a bounce house, ate hot dogs, played dress up (I got to be a snow white) and of course ate birthday cake and ice cream. I can’t wait until my party, I hear I might be sharing it with my baby brother Joshua 🙂 I love Joshua very much and like to play around and call him “Joshua boy” Now come to think of it, I have been calling him that since he was born. I love my little brother!

Projects, projects, projects…
If you are wondering what I mean by my title projects, it’s all the things I get to work on with mommy during the day. I definitely get my play time, but then I also get to work on projects, to me they are more like fun activities, because I get to color, count, call out letters, sing alphabet songs, finger paint and my favorite one is using glue 🙂 I have been doing very good and am learning a lot. I know all of my colors:
yellow
red
purple
green
blue
brown
pink
black
white
and I am sure there are lots more, I just can’t think of them right now. I love puzzles, especially since my parents got this thing called iPad, it’s been a blast putting things together, it’s too bad I can’t play with it all day, but I definitely appreciate it when I get to play with it. Mommy and daddy also got me new shoes for summer and they are soooo cute, with pretty flowers on them. Check them out:

I am TWO and a BIG sister!
It has been a long time since I have updated my page and with all that is happening, I figured it’s time. Things have been very different lately, because I have a beautiful and tiny baby brother Joshua that now lives here with us. I absolutely love having him! I give him kisses and hugs on daily basis and I think he likes that a lot! I even get to hold him and I certainly oppose when mommy or daddy tries to help me hold him, because I am a big girl and I can do it on my own. In fact, one of my favorite phrases lately has been “I want my own and I can do it on my own.” I don’t think my parents like that very much, but I do : ) I am very excited to play with Joshua and I absolutely love it when he is awake and his eyes are open. I can’t hold in my excitement so I scream, “He is awake, he is awake!” and then I squeeze his hand or foot really tight, and as always get reminded to be gentle, so I ease up on my squeezing. I just love him so much, I can’t hold in my emotions : ) My life has not changed much since Joshua’s arrival, I just don’t get to play with Lissy as often as I used to. She now comes on Fridays for an hour or two, but I am very glad I get to see her at least once a week. In fact recently we got to go to our first Disney on Ice to see Toy Story 3. Mommy took us to see it and we both loved it! We also got toys while we were there, Lissy got Jesse and I got Woody : ) The show was so much fun, I danced a lot in my chair and mommy brought a lot of snackies so it made it even more fun. My favorite snack at the time is “goldfish” I ask for them about five times a day, but get them only once, which is ok, because that’s when mama offers me other things like cheese, or apple or other type of fruit and I usually accept : )
I also turned TWO years old. I am so happy to be too. That is also one of my favorite phrases these days, if I am happy about something, I usually let people know and say, “I am so happy.” Mommy and daddy usually smile and say, “I am happy that you are happy, because when Bella is happy mommy and daddy are also happy.” For my birthday I got to go to so many places, first daddy and mommy took Lissy and I to Wacky Tacky, a place with lots of different slides. At first I was very scared but then I liked it so much, that I have been asking ever since to go to “the place” as I call it. Then I got to have my first “Happy Meal” from McDonalds. Now I know what the rave is all about, that is some good stuff, chocolate milk, burger and fries- delicious! My mommy and daddy also took me for yogurt twice and I got to have all kinds of fun things in it, gummy bears, sprinkles and even chocolate! Then I also go to go to the zoo. It was so much fun to see a bear, dear, tigers, raccoons, deer and so many more animals. Last but not least, I got to have a little birthday party where I wore the most beautiful dress and papa and nana came over and Lissy and Kaitlyn. I had a blast! Of course I got the coolest presents. I got a huge kitchen from mommy and daddy and I play with it every day. Currently I enjoy making coffee and fry sausages. I bake pizza in the oven and do dishes when mama does dishes, it’s been so much fun! Nana and mama made such beautiful food for my party, I couldn’t not believe it. I loved everything about it!
It feels like I am going backwards, but I forgot to mention Christmas and all the fun I had at Christmas time. I sang carols and got to open so many presents. Mommy and daddy tell me that the meaning of Christmas is not in presents but in Jesus’ birth and they read to me about Jesus every day so that I have a better understanding of who He is. I know that he loves me more than anybody else, even more than mommy and daddy. I can’t even understand that kind of love.
Here are some of my recent phrases that make mommy and daddy smile or even laugh:
“Mama, talk to me”
“I slept like a champ”
“I don’t want to go nappy, because I want to play”
“Oh my gosh! “ I say this when I see something or open a present : )
“It’s so beautiful”
“I want to go outside and play with Lissy”
“I am disappointed”
“I am exercising” (I say this as I go up the stairs backwards)
“I don’t know and I can’t remember”
These are just a few that I can think of right now, I am sure I will remember more for my next update : )

My Busy Life
I have so much to write, I do not know where to start. First of all, I am going to be a BIG sister!!! I am not quite sure what that means yet, but I do know that there is a baby in mommy’s belly. I like to kiss her belly, because I know that my little brother is in there. My mommy and daddy keep telling me that I need to keep working on sharing as I will have to start sharing everything I have with my little brother. I think it’s going to be very hard. Also, I have been doing many different and fun projects with mommy. Just to mention a few, we have done cut-outs, painted, I used glue for the first time just a little while back and made a really cool tree. We made owls, colored leaves, used “dot art” (which I love), drew with chalk, played in the sand box, went for a walk to explore the nature and so much more. Whenever mommy says we will be working on a project, I scream “YEY” because I get extremely excited J I talk a lot these days or at least that’s what my parents tell me sometimes. I have been talking in sentences for a while now and it’s a lot of fun, because mommy and daddy understand what I need or what hurts. They have conversations with me when I get in trouble and it’s wonderful to be able to talk to them and come to a mutual understanding. I know my days of the week, I sing these songs: the alphabet song, Jesus Loves me, Ring around the roses, Deep and wide, Itsy Bitsy Spider, I count to 20, I know many of the alphabet letters and what they stand for. My favorite letter is “D” for Daddy and every time I see it, I say “D for daddy” oh it is so much fun! Some of the things I enjoy very much right now are, trips to the park, bubble baths, art activities, numbers and colors activities, I love “dot art”, I love going on walks with mommy and daddy, playing in my sand box and visiting new places. Below you will see some pictures and know what I have been up to 🙂

Lately…
It seems to me like a lot has been going on, just within the last month, I got to go on so many trips and the best part is they have all involved water fountains. If you have never been and wonder what water fountains are like, I will just tell you that it’s amazing and it makes you never want to leave 🙂 My mommy and daddy call it Palm Desert where I got to try them out for the first time and let me tell you, it was my favorite thing of all. I wonder why we have not gone back there, maybe because it’s a little far. Since then, my mommy and daddy took me to a very cool water park and I even got to go with Lissy (she is my best friend) In fact I get to see her tomorrow 🙂 I love having Lissy over, she is here at least two times a week and we play so good together. Sometimes we laugh for no reason, but still find it funny. We also like to eat the same food and read the same books, one thing we find a little hard is sharing especially since we both like so many of the same thing. So, back to the water parks…it’s so easy for me to loose track of what I am talking about. I also get to go to this place called “The Fountains” and it’s very close to home. My daddy and mommy take me there every chance they get and I get to run through kids fountains, go on a choo choo train AND watch the big fountains. I think you pretty much get the idea, I LOVE WATER! Summer seems to be a great season to get wet since it’s always hot and all. Oh, and I forgot to mention one more thing; mommy puts out a little pool for me and Lissy and we get to be in the water then too. Fun, fun, fun!
If you are wondering about my latest activities and words…oh, I say so much these days, putting sentences together is fun. I say things things like “daddy is coming”, “what is that?”, “I don’t know”, “this one”, “I love mommy/daddy….etc.”. I use words “please” and “thank you” all the time, especially when I want something like chips or ice cream. My mommy makes my days a lot of fun for me, we paint, draw, color, count, sing songs (I can sing a little bit of twinkle twinkle little star and row row row your boat) memorize days of the week, months. I count every time I go up or down the stairs, it’s a lot of fun. I also have these very cool puzzles with alphabet letters on them and I even know some of the letters 🙂 Mommy says we will be working on cutting things out of paper tomorrow and I am very excited.

My Friend Lissy’s 2nd Birthday Party!
I had so much fun at Lissy’s party that I just had to tell you all about it. First, they had a bounce house and if you are not familiar with it, you really need to try it out. It was one of the funnest things I have done in my life so far, I couldn’t stop bouncing. She also had some really cool toys that she got for her birthday and I got to play with some of them 🙂 The hats were a hit too, every guest had to wear a birthday hat that was made by her aunt Sara and those were so cute, you will see in the picture below. I also got to have some chocolate cake- it was delicious. You really can’t say no to a cake, I am learning that already, that stuff is soooooo good. You know what else happened at this party? I had my toe nails painted in sparkles- wow, so pretty! At first I didn’t understand what was going on, but then I figured it out and just waited to have the rest of them finished. I still have them all sparkly, I call them “sparkles” Anyway, it was one of my favorite birthday parties yet. Happy Birthday Lissy!
p.s. if you want to see more pictures from the party, go to: photo gallery; May-June 2011. Enjoy 🙂

My First trip to the Zoo!
All this time my parents have been promising to take me to the zoo and I definitely was waiting for it, but what I realized is I had not idea how much fun zoo is. I loved it! I don’t even know where to start telling you about all of the animals I saw. Giraffes are HUGE, I looked up and said to myself “WOW” can animals really be that big? I mean it was probably 100 times bigger than mommy and daddy. I loved monkeys, they were also pretty big, mommy and I watched them for about 20 minutes or so, to be honest with you I could stand there all day, but daddy had a lot more for me to see, so we had to keep going. Zebras look really cool with their black and white stripes and the tigers- WOW!!! I make the best tiger and lion noise by the way. It sounds really cool when I do it, you should ask me next time you see me what one of those animals says and i will tell you. Let’s see what else stood out to me….oh, the pink flamingos, there were so many of them, I couldn’t believe it and they didn’t fly away or anything, just stood there 🙂 I also got to see a huge coyote, they are certainly not the most pretty animal, but still pretty ok to look at, he looked somewhat sad. I even saw snakes….and guess what? I did not like them one bit. There were so many to see, but after looking at one or two I told my parents “no, thank you” so they took me out of the tunnel with snakes and lizards. My mommy tells me she really dislikes them too, so I don’t feel so bad for not liking them. After our tour of the zoo, daddy and mommy took me to the zoo store where I fell in love with this toy called “Happy Hamster” and i wanted to keep it very badly, but didn’t get to at the time. About a week later however, it landed at our house in the mail and I love playing with it 🙂 Thank you mommy!!!

Easter Fun!
Easter is one amazing holiday, I had so much fun. I got to do things I have never done before and boy was it fun. Can you imagine mommy and daddy let me color eggs? Who knew eggs can be colored and all those pretty bright colors, oh I just loved it! I did manage to throw one egg on the floor, so it’s a great thing that they were cooked, it could have been an ugly sight, but instead it was very nice and clean. So, my mommy couldn’t put me in my pretty dress for the egg hunt, because it was too cold, so I was wearing one of my favorite soft cotton dresses and was very comfortable. At first I was confused with all the running around and all the eggs, but then I figured it out and started putting some eggs into my own basket J Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I got three beautiful Easter baskets with so many goodies, I loved them all. I also got a very cool tunnel to go through J My mommy keeps telling me how spoiled I am, but I don’t think I understand the meaning of that word yet, I figured it can’t be anything bad right? All in all, I loved Easter.
Just to give you a little update on my vocabulary: I am repeating words after mommy every day and all day, she seems to like it, because she smiles J I learned the meaning of the word wet the other day. I talk about mowing a lot, I just love it when people mow, I can watch them forever. I say “airplane”, which sounds more like “aplane” and I know exactly when to say it too, I hear it in the sky and yell it out, mommy laughs and says “that’s right honey, airplane” I love my mommy & daddy! I say mustard and hot dog and oh so many other words, I just can’t even think of them right now. I say “no” when I don’t want something and “yes” when I do. I am also saying please and thank you, but sometimes I need a reminder J I have been going on a potty a couple of times a day, it’s getting better for me and mommy is so patient. Daddy and mommy have been taking me to the park every day and I just love it there, especially the swings. I laugh so hard when I am on my swing and I always ask them to make me go higher. My tooth brushing has improved tremendously, mommy actually enjoys brushing them now and whatever makes mommy happy, makes me happy J I have my last two teeth cutting through and I can’t wait to be done with them as they are turning my life upside down L I am also taking only one nap now, I guess I am growing up, at least that’s what I hear from my daddy and mommy. I hope you enjoyed my updates and I will try to write some more soon. Hugs and kisses for now- xoxo!

A little Update
I have so much going on in my life right now, I don’t even know where to start. I talk a lot these days and keep catching my parents faces in disbelief, looking at one another with a question: “Did she really just say that?” and I smile to myself and think, you betcha I did 🙂 To give you an idea, some of the big words I say are: strawberry (sounds more like stawbewy”, elephant (epapan), hammock, thank you (tanka), birdy, sticky (ticky) and many more. My favorite word these days is park and my mommy says that I say it with English accent, where I don’t pronounce letter R, I think it’s really neat 🙂 We go to the park daily and I just can’t get enough of the swings, I mean have you ever tried to get on one? I can swing and swing, it’s the swings I call park you know- those things are wonderful! I also LOVE to give hugs and when I give one I say” HUG! It seems to always put a smile on daddy’s and mommy’s face when I say that. I am told my smiles are changing and they only grow bigger which I can’t even imagine, because I smile very wide 🙂 I was trying to figure out what my mommy and daddy mean by that and from what I gathered, they said that all of my teeth show, I think it’s kind of funny. Just to give you a quick update, I have 15 teeth and two more are still trying to cut through. It’s been very painful for me, but I try to find things to nibble on and it seems to help. Before I forget, I got to do something really great the other day, on April 11th to be exact- I got to go on a choo choo train…WOW, if I knew how much fun those things are, I would have gotten on one a long time ago, I got to go twice!!! Mommy promised to take me there again sometime soon, I can’t wait! I have been working on puzzles lately, mommy bought me a bunch of them and one of my favorites so far is the United States of America puzzle. It has all of the States and I have to put them all together…it’s quite challenging, but definitely fun! I also have been drawing on a white board, I have all of the necessary equipment and it’s so great to see your art come to life, all of the fun lines and circles…I think I like to draw and I might be a lefty, mommy says she still can’t tell, but I sure use my left hand for many things. Oh oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I can count one, two…and working on three, mommy and I count a lot when we take stairs at home, I am practicing going up without using my hands and I feel like a big girl 🙂 Some of my favorite books right now are: the alphabet book, ABETKA (Ukrainian alphabet book), God made you Special and Heads. I ask mommy to read those over and over again and she always seems to enjoy it 🙂 It’s not something I like to share, but I figured I would…I am a very picky eater and it makes mommy and nana very sad sometimes. The things I always enjoy are cheese, bread, mandarins, grapes, pasta and of course snackies, I love that word and say it quite often. For breakfast, I love farmer’s cheese (my nana makes it for me) it’s so tasty and of course blueberries and strawberries are always a hit. I am very bad with eating vegetables, I was good for a while and then something happened where I stopped liking them, the same thing happened with liking meat. Only a few days ago, I re-welcomed it into my daily food group and you know what, it’s quite tasty. Today I had pene pasta with Italian sausages- delicious!!! Well, I feel like I can go on forever, but it’s my bed time, so I better get going. I hear Easter is coming up and mommy and daddy have some fun activities planned for me, so I am very excited and will tell you all about it in my next update. Time to go brush my teeth, it’s getting better with me brushing, because it used to be very tough, I just don’t like the whole open mouth thing, but then I realized that nobody does and there are just certain things that you have to do in life and brushing your teeth is one of them. OK, tootles for now!
p.s. one last thing…I have been going on my potty at least a couple of times a day 🙂

The Latest!
It has been a long time since I have shared what has been going on in my exciting life, so hold on tight, because I have a lot to say 🙂 I am now 14 months young, can you believe it? Just seems like yesterday I was sharing with you about my big First Birthday party and now I am 14 months. I just can’t keep up with all that I am learning but I love to learn and I am glad my mommy encourages me to learn. I say so many words now, you wouldn’t believe, I pretty much repeat every word my mommy teaches me. Some of my favorite words are: bubble (which I say perfectly by the way), mama (I must say it at least 100 times a day, at least that’s what my mommy tells me and I think she likes that 🙂 The longest phrase so far for me is “I ya yee” I just had to tell my mommy how I felt about her, I could tell her heart melted. I love puzzles these days and flash cards and I have books with pictures where if you asked me where everything was, I would point with my little finger and try to say it. Just from the top of my head, I can say: cheese, book, apple, thank you, please (peas), truck, stuck (tuck- mommy loves it when I scream “tuuckkkk” she just laughs and comes to the rescue :-)) I love to say vacuum and even help mommy vacuum, I also love to steal a kitchen towel and clean the cupboards, floors and refrigerator. I make sounds for almost all of the animals and I know my fruit and vegetables. My mommy bought me a whole set of plastic fruits and vegetables and she quizes me on them every other day or so, I am learning very quick 🙂 I love playing outside more and more, because I just take off running, my legs can run really quick 🙂 I have 15 teeth, 13 are completely out and the other two are very much on their way, you can see them, but they are still making their way up, it has made my life a little uncomfortable but my mommy tells me it will pass and I believe her. Lately I have been loving being held, I ask to be held very often and mommy has a hard time saying “no” to that, so she picks me up and cuddles me. I give mommy and daddy the biggest hugs, I love them very much and they seem to enjoy my wet kisses too, because they always ask for them 🙂 I love to dance, every time music comes on, I just start dancing like no one is watching, I even taught Lissy how to dance, now we dance together 🙂 I am learning how to use a fork and a spoon, I think I have pretty much mastered it, but mommy seems to disagree, you should see all the mess I make, but I try to help clean it up 🙂 In fact when mommy or daddy ask me to clean up, I do a very good job, you should ask them. I have not only been learning new words, I have also been trying new food: bagels for example have become one of my favorite things to eat in the morning (wholewheat with blueberries- yumm) farmers cheese has been a hit, peanut butter – wow, chocolate chip cookie (well, it was more of a crumb, but I take what I get :-)) ice cream, waffles, borsch…oh the list is endless.
Mommy and daddy say they will take me to the zoo soon, I am so excited and can’t wait! Well, I can go on for hours, so I better stop and write some more next month. I love you all!

My First Birthday party!!!
Guess what, I turned ONE! I did not know that turning one will bring me so many gifts and balloons. My mommy and daddy told me that there will be a party, but how do I know what these parties are really all about. Boy, am I glad that I know now; parties are the best! I got so many presents and balloons, I was overwhelmed and you know what else, I got to try this pretty pink sugary creation, my mommy calls them cupcakes, so I guess that’s what it is. So tasty, I loved it! I haven’t had it since, so I might need to inquire about that. Do you want to know what I got for my birthday? If not, I will tell you anyway. I got a big car, yellow and red, I got a little airplane that sings a very pretty song, I got lots of clothes, books, two dolls, one is absolutely the favorite and I named her Lu-Lu, you should see she is the cutest thing! I even got some money for my birthday, how cool is that? I have no idea what money is for, but mommy said that I will find out later, I just know that it will become handy one day. So, I had about 22 people at my party, I have never seen that many people in our house, it was a little confusing at first, but then I got the hang of it and just accepted the fact that it’s a huggy and a kissy day J I really like being one, I can run around, I can drive my car, I can push buttons and reach quite a bit more than I used to; I must be getting taller. I mastered my sippy cup like no other, I just drink out of that thing every time I get a chance- thirsty or not, it doesn’t matter, as long as I can drink out of it. Mommy has been introducing the spoon to me, so I can learn to eat on my own and let me tell you, I make a lot of mess, but I am not giving up, I will be good at it one day! Well, I need to go play with all of my new toys now, so we will have to do this again sometime soon. Enjoy all the pictures my mommy posted in photo galleries and on her post.

11 Months
I turned 11 months! I can’t believe I am only one short month away from turning a WHOLE year, can you even imagine what a WHOLE year is like? WOW, I simply can’t wait to see what it feels like to be ONE. Mommy is telling me she will have lots of balloons for me on my first birthday, I am excited because balloons are my favorite! Every time I see a balloon, I say “buh” I have been very busy lately. Since I am walking and all, I started realizing how much I can explore around the house, starting with drawers in bathrooms to cabinets in kitchen and then there is a washer and dryer…oh how I love those, I can stay in the laundry room for a while, there is just so much to play with and I love to watch the washer spin, I just sit and stare 🙂 I have so much to tell, I can’t seem to put it all together fast enough. I have been exploring buttons, I love buttons, not only on my clothes and my daddy’s and mommy’s clothes, but on computers and phones and remote controls. I even found a button that makes the Christmas tree turn on and off, by the way let me tell you, I can’t stand it when the Christmas tree lights are not on. As soon as mommy turns it off, I make a huge fuss and she turns them back on. My thinking is why even put them up if you are not going to keep them on all the time. Oh and then there is Christmas music, oh how I love music, that’s another thing that bothers me from time to time, my mommy turns that off when we go to sleep and I of course let her know that it’s Christmas time and the music must also be on all the time 🙂 I love this season, I have been spying on a few presents under the tree, they are just so wonderfully wrapped and the bows are just calling my name, so I go and try to play with them, but then get a “no” and my fun ends:( I do have a Santa that my parents let me play with, he is so much fun, every time I shake him, his head falls off and I just laugh 🙂 I have also been enjoying baby Einstein videos, I just can’t seem to eat a good meal unless I am watching one of the videos. I have learned so much, thanks to mommy she tells me what each picture is, otherwise I don’t think I would ever know, since they show pictures only and do not say anything. My favorite one of all is the Baby Praise Collection, the songs and colors are so pretty. Some of the new words I have added to my vocabulary are boy, girl, pupsik (a tiny doll that used to be mommy’s he is 20 years old,) pepper, pork, bubble and so many more that I just can’t think of right now. So back to pupsik, this little doll has traveled from Ukraine when my great-grandma Nellie (who I have been named after) came to live here four years ago. Apperantly my mommy left pupsik for her as a memory of her before she came to United States, so this little guy has traveled across the ocean and now I get to play with him, he is one of my favorite toys to play with. He is about 1.5″ tall, so I just still his head in my mouth and chew on it, he is made of rubber. For those that are reading and getting nervous about me swallowing him, he is not small enough for me to do that and mommy always watches me when I play with him. This is getting way too long, so I will wrap it up and will write more after Christmas 🙂 I am so excited to celebrate Jesus’s birthday, mommy has told me about this holiday and so far it’s my favorite one. Well, hugs and kisses everyone!
p.s. a few more things, I have 10 teeth and 11th coming and my hair is wavy 🙂

I am 10 Months Young!
Huge news this month, above all else that took place, I am walking!!! What an amazing feeling to be able to walk from one place to another and not have support. I started off very strong and as much as my mommy was shocked to see me walk, she has no idea how shocked I was to be taking those first steps. I was exactly 10 months and 6 days on November 17th, what a great day to remember 🙂 This month has been very eventful for me, not only did I get to celebrate my first Thanksgiving, but I also got to pick out a Christmas tree with my parents. Oh, how fun it was to get into tinsel, I LOVE shiny things!!! Some of the other things I have been enjoying doing: taking out wet laundry out of the dryer, biting mommy, climbing stairs, trying new food, going on walks with my parents, playing with Buddy, sleeping through the night, clapping, saying many new words, waiving “hi” and saying “bye” and so much more. I am posting a picture of me walking 🙂

Pumpkin Season
I don’t know if any of you enjoy pumpkins as much as I do, but I think they are so pretty and fun. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got to the pumpkin patch with my grandparents and mama…I mean wow, all that orange. Mama has been teaching me colors, that’s how I know they are orange 😉 Some of them were bigger than me, but I was brave enough to touch them and even stand next to them to take pictures. I got to see real baby pigs and goats, I learned that my mommy loves pigs and wishes she had one for a pet, I think that’s so funny, because they stink so bad and knowing my mommy it would not work very well:) I also got to go to Apple Hill with my parents where I saw more pumpkins and even got to pet a pony, he was so friendly. One of the highlights is I got to try a little bit of this delicious and sweet thing called ice cream, I mean wow, I could have that every day, but for some reason I am told I can’t for a little while. I will be patient, because that stuff is worth waiting for 🙂 Check out my picture with pumpkins below, I had a blast 🙂

Celebrating 9 Months at the Ocean
I celebrated turning 9 months at the beach, who would have thought I get to see and feel the ocean. I had so much fun! It was very warm so I always had to wear a sun hat, which I didn’t mind too much, it’s much better than a regular hat. I don’t know if I told you but I am not very big on hats or head bands. So, I couldn’t wait to tell you all that I do these days…I crawl all around, my mommy and daddy had to install gates for me, I even take a few steps of stairs all on my own now. I eat with my fingers, I love puffs and cheerios! Mama still gives me a great variety of pureed food, such as apple, strawberry, cauliflower, sweet potato, banana, avocado, peach and many more. I LOVE yogurt, I can eat it for every meal 🙂 I also enjoy juices such as apple, pear and prune…they are all so tasty. Mommy is starting me on potty training and it’s not as much fun as I thought it would be, but I am sure I will master it sooner than later. My biggest progress however is trying to walk. I can’t quiet do it on my own yet, but I love walking when daddy or mommy hold me by my hands. I can stand by myself with no support for about 10 seconds at a time, I am thinking to walk by next time I write my progress at 10 months 🙂 I also talk and say words like Bella, Dada, Water, Ducky and Buddy. My favorite activities: jumperooing, “folding” laundry, playing with dish washer, straightening rugs in bathrooms and laundry, chewing on book shelves, door knobs, door stops, books, standing and holding on to the toilet, crawling under the table, playing with high chair and oh so many more. I love my life! Below you will see a picture of me helping mommy unpack after our ocean trip, I climbed in this bag all by myself.

I turned 8 months today!
Wow, I am officially 8 months today…I still can’t believe all of the things I can do these days. I haven’t told you that I can now sit up from lying down, I surprised my daddy just a few days ago when I set up and then pulled myself up in my crib, I loved the look on my daddy’s face 🙂 I am also crawling around a whole lot, it’s great fun, I finally can get around all by myself. Last night I even snorted because I laughed so hard, my parents started laughing even more than I did, it was hilarious. My mommy did a photo shoot this morning and below you will find a picture of me all grown up, it was such a fun day 🙂

My First Pair of Shoes
I just had to share with you how cute they are. Daddy and Mommy went to the store and brought home the cutest pair of shoes. My first reaction was, hmmmm, that looks tasty so I eagerly brought them to my mouth and gave it a taste, to my disappointment it was not all that I thought it would be. Then mommy put these things on my feet and it felt very weird so I kept wanting to take them off, but then we went outside and she held my hands as I took a few steps and it didn’t feel all that weird. At this point I am not that crazy about them, but I have a feeling they can definitely grow on me. Check out the picture of these beauties below 🙂

My First Crawling Experience
In case you haven’t guessed by the title, I am crawling 🙂 I love to crawl and I get better and better every day. It seems to me that it’s all I want to do these days, it is so thrilling to be able to move around without anybody’s help, I can’t wait until I am walking. My Grandpa says I should be walking by 9 months, that gives me so much hope to keep trying 🙂 My parents took lots of pictures of my first crawling experience, you can see my happy face below 🙂

I turned 7 Months!
Guess what? I turned 7 months today. I can’t believe all the new things I am learning, especially crawling and pulling myself up, I mean that is such a huge progress in my book. I am not quiet crawling yet, but I try at least 20 times a day and so far I have been able to crawl backwards, which is still a lot of fun, but not the same as moving forward. I have also grasped the concept of stretching my arms out to ask to go to mommy or daddy, it’s so much fun, every time I do that, they seem to pick me up right away, I love it:) My hair seems to be growing pretty good too and I am enjoying more and more of all solid food I get to try, so far the list includes: pear, apple, apricot, peach, prunes, strawberries, blueberries, butternut squash, peas, sweet potato, winter squash and carrots. I enjoy playing with my friend Alyssa a lot more, because we can share toys and sit together. I love learning new things!

Huge Progress!
Oh, I couldn’t wait to share the news, but guess what? I can pull myself up and stand in my crib. I wish you could have seen my parent’s faces, my mommy’s jaw dropped while daddy ran to get it on video and he did, I just kept showing them again and again that indeed I can do it! I thought it was important to share with you all, I can’t wait to start walking, it sure is fun to be able to stand on your own. Crawling is another story…let’s just say I am working on it 😉

Six Months Photoshoot
Talking about spotlight…I had the best morning today. I had a photoshoot just for me, my parents got me all ready in the morning, I saw them bringing three different dresses and other fun outfits. Little did I know, my photographer was a lot of fun, she made funny noises and had me sit on things like suitcase and cool looking rock fixtures. Anyway, I had a blast. I wanted to show you a sneak peak of the shoot, so enjoy. The rest will be published later. Kisses!

My Six Months Dr’s Visit
I don’t know if I ever mentioned it, but I do not enjoy going to the Dr., in fact I have not met any people so far that do, so I suppose it’s very normal to not like those. My parents seem to enjoy them more than I do, because they get to find out the progress of my growth, which usually includes getting weighed, measured, listening to me breathing, checking my muscles and their development and so on. I just broke in tears this time, I don’t quiet know why, but for some reason I did not enjoy being checked, so I cried and maybe even screamed a few times. At the end it was a happy time, because I got to go home, unharmed and healthy. As much as I thought I was all done there until I was 9 months, I was wrong, my parents brought me right back in there the following day to get shots:( Oh, what were they thinking, it hurt like no tomorrow, I cried my little eyes out but was certainly grateful for Infant Tylenol, it made me feel much better, so at least in that aspect I know they were looking out for me and of course they kept telling me that it was only to protect me from all sorts of sickness. I believe them and I know they love me which is why I have to get these painful shots from time to time. Daddy even took a picture of me and Dr. Laura this time, check it out, she is listening to my heart (that part was kind of fun)

My First 6 Months of Life
Oh, how fast time flew by, I turned 6 months today 🙂 What can I say about my life so far, I love it! I am loved all the time, I have more clothes than my mommy and daddy combined, I get the best food out there, my days are full of fun activities, such as playing with toys, sleeping, eating, reading and going on fun trips. I am sitting with 100% confidence now and I actually like to sit most of the time, in fact when my parents are trying to have me lie down, I let them know right away that sitting works much better for me, I mean gee…I have been in the lying position for 5 months, I think that’s long enough. Today has been even more special than other days, I got to go to Nana’s in the morning so that my parents could go to church and let me tell you, we had one of the biggest photoshoots I can remember. I got to wear the prettiest dresses (make sure to check out the photo gallery) and have the prettiest flowers in my hair, what more can girl want, I was a happy and patient;) camper. I also have more news (as of July 8th) I am trying solids now, oh yes, things like winter squash, avocado, banana…to be honest with you and don’t tell my mommy and daddy but I don’t like any of the stuff. My mommy gets super excited with me when I try all these new things, but then once it reaches my mouth, I loose the excitement and push it all out, I mean they expect me to swallow that stuff- yuck!!! I love my milk and hopefully will keep having that on my menu for a long time, so far it looks positive so things are great:) I will be updating you more and more on what I think about fruit and vegetables. Mommy and daddy have also been telling me about God, I think He is great, He picked a wonderful family for me. Thank you God!

My First Celebration of Independence Day and Sitting Up without support.
Oh, what fun I had celebrating Independence Day, I don’t quiet understand it all yet, but I did get to hold a flag, wear a cool patriotic cap (Grandpa’s) and even sit up for the first time all by myself. I liked this holiday, everyone was happy and eating all kinds of fun food, I was also told that I get to try it next year, so I am pretty excited about that 🙂 My Nana made this amazing cake that looked like a flag and I really wanted to get my hands on it, but didn’t get such luck, so once again, I will try it next year. So, about sitting up…I couldn’t believe it myself, I was doing such a great job balancing and everything. My mommy got so excited, ran in with the camera, started taking pictures from every angle, it was very exciting. Apparently it’s a huge milestone to be able to sit up on your own before you turn 6 months (by the way, that’s only 7 days from today) I am told I get to try some food that day, other than milk of course, but I am not letting go of milk for at least another 6 months, that stuff is too good to let go 🙂 That is what I wanted to share with all of you, if you would like to see more pictures, don’t forget to check out the gallery, my mommy does a great job updating those. I will update you all soon when I turn 6 months:)

Busted!
So, I got busted sleeping on my tummy for the first time. My parents keep a very close eye on me while I sleep, because I started rolling over to my stomach while I sleep and they are not too fond of it. Last night I was sleeping and turned over without making any noise and what do you know, they decided to come and check up on me. My mommy got worried so she turned me to my back again. I certainly enjoyed sleeping on my belly, but I hear it’s not safe, so I’ll try to stay on my back more 😉

First bath in a big bath tub and 3 teeth
So, I have some big news, I have teeth coming through. Oh if I could even start telling you about the pain, you would not believe me, but I hear it’s worth it, because I keep looking at mommy and daddy putting things in their mouths and chewing on them and it makes me want to do the same thing. So far I have two on the bottom and one on top, my mommy watches them closely every day, she says they feel pretty sharp, I can’t wait to use them on something other than milk 🙂 I also got to take my bath in a real bathtub, wow, what an experience. I am not quiet sure if I liked it, but I think I did. I wish I wasn’t as tired before taking it, because I was completely ready for my night time, but there is always next time, I am hoping to enjoying a little more. It was nice to have so much water to sit it, I kicked my feet and splashed around 🙂 Check out my new pictures in the gallery. Kisses and Hugs!

5 Months Young
Can you believe it, I am already 5 months. Oh it was such a fun day for me, mommy decided to do a little photoshoot and boy did we have fun. She even managed to put me in the basket, I just smiled and smiled, plus that was just another chance for me to sit up and I love to sit up. I am thinking by 6 months I should not need any help, but we will have to wait and see. I have been enjoying my feet quiet a bit and I make a lot of new sounds that my parents seem to like a lot. I also have a few teeth coming through, my mommy said she can feel them and she likes to push on them from time to time to show people and that hurts so I start to get fussy and she stops. I have been teething a lot lately, the pain is terrible, but my mommy puts some really neat gel on my gums and the pain seems to go away, at least for a little while. I have been sleeping an extra hour during the night, my usual wake up time is around 6 am these days, which used to be 5am, I am sure my parents are grateful 🙂 I am looking forward to learning new things this month, I started using a sippy cup today and that was so much fun, I can’t believe all the different techniques you can use with different cups and bottles. I still only drink milk, because mommy thinks it’s best to hold off on solids and I don’t mind, because it tastes really good 🙂 My mommy bought me very fun spoons, they are super soft and I think I will master using them in no time, for now I just play with them. I have been trying to sit up a lot lately, I love to grab on to my mommy’s or daddy’s fingers and pull myself up, oh it’s so much fun. I am super excited to be 5 months young 🙂 Don’t forget to check out the photo gallery, my mommy posted some new pictures of me 🙂

My new toys
None of you are going to believe the new toys I got when we came back from our trip. I couldn’t believe my eyes when my mommy and daddy put them together for me. I got a new gym mat, called “the rain forest” and of all things a Jumperoo. Oh how I love these new additions to my life, I love the bright colors and I can spend hours in Jumperoo, my parents don’t let me though, well not for a long time anyway. Check out the pictures right below, these are the best. I love my parents 🙂

My first trip to the ocean (Carmel, CA)
I am still having a hard time believing that I saw a real ocean, being only 4 1/2 months old. What a lot of water it was in one place. I must admit, I slept through the first time my parents took me there, but I definitely got to see it at sunset the next day. Personally I found it very soothing to sleep to, the sound was just so calming, my eyes couldn’t help but close. I also saw lots of sand, it was a lot of fun to look down and see people’s footprints. I also saw lots of dogs, they were everywhere chasing tennis balls, oh it was so fun to watch them run in the water, I wished I could do that, but my parents said next time, the water was a little too cold. The whole trip was a lot of fun, I wasn’t bored for a minute, we constantly went places, sometimes I wished I could just stay at the hotel and relax, but my parents were too excited to go places so I just played along and was a very good girl for them. On the way home I slept a whole lot, it was nice because we came home very fast and I was so happy to see my bed with little bee decor, I didn’t know what to do out of excitement. I also helped mommy unpack while sitting in my Bumbo chair, I love that chair. Anyway, the three days away were great, but home surely is the best. I got the best night sleep when we came home…oh was it nice to just relax 🙂

My first cold
I guess I spoke too soon yesterday about me being healthy and all. This morning I woke up with a stuffy nose and bad cough. Who would have thought colds are so unpleasant, but I am glad that my parents are here to take care of me. I get baths every day and a special rub put on my chest and feet, I also get some nose drops that help me breathe. My mommy bundles me up in blankets to make sure I am warm, she even put a hat on me the other day, but I reminded her that I don’t like those, so she took it off 🙂 I love my mommy! Hopefully this cold will not last too long, because I miss my energy and I have a lot to do and to learn. Please pray for me to those who read my page.

Dr’s Visit (4 months check-up)
I got to go see Dr. Sorgea again, what a nice lady, I like her. Today was a fun visit, because nobody gave me shots, I still remember how painful it was a few months ago, I think my parents did the right thing by saying no to shots this month. I reacted to one of them last time and there is no way of knowing which one, so we will just wait until I am older and can communicate my pain and we will resume the torture. I was excited to find out that I gained some weight and grew a little longer. I weigh 14 lbs and 5 oz and I am 25″ long. I would say I am a pretty healthy camper. My next appointment is in July, so I will write about that one when the time comes. Until next time.

My first “tutu” Birthday party
Today, I got to go to my first birthday party to my friend’s Alyssa, who turned 1. One of the requests on the special invitation I received was to wear a tutu, so my mommy had to go to a few stores to find me a tutu and boy did she find a nice one! I love the colors and it’s so much fun to grab on to, I almost ripped a piece off, but my daddy stopped me. The party was a hit, I was the youngest one so I got a lot of people coming up to me saying…”oh my goodness you are the cutest thing” and I knew that it was because of my age and the grand tutu that I was wearing (you can check out the picture below) There was a lot of great food, but it didn’t matter to me, because I just ate before the party and nothing beats breast milk. I loved that everything was pink at the party, cups, plates, even the food was pink. My parents also had a wonderful time, they got to mingle with a few new people and relax a little. I must admit, I slept pretty much through the whole thing, but I caught was was most important, at least I have ideas for my 1st birthday party. Happy Birthday Alyssa, you only get to turn 1 once. Sending lots of love to my readers.

4 months young
Today, I turned 4 months old. I can’t believe how fast time is flying for me. I am discovering new things every day and everything captures my attention to where I just stare at things. Today I saw a bottle full of milk and just grabbed it to make sure it made it into my mouth. Yesterday I was grabbing my toys when I was playing on my gym mat, it’s all so much fun, just grabbing things in general is a lot of fun. My favorite of all is to grab my mommy’s hair, she seems to make a funny face every time I do that, so I keep doing that, it makes me smile Also, my naps are getting longer, I seem to be sleeping quiet a bit, but it gives me energy for the day so I am a pretty happy camper. I grew quiet a bit in the last couple of months, I now weigh 13lbs and 14oz, that’s quiet a bit in my opinion, definitely getting a bit heavy for my parents to carry me around, but I just love to be held sometimes, I hope they don’t mind too much. One other thing I love doing, is standing on my feet, it was such a surprise to discover that I have them, it always makes me smile and laugh when I get to stand. Please feel free to check out some of my updated pictures. Love you all!

Special Morning
Today I turned over all by myself. My parents watched me and encouraged me as I tried very hard to turn over, it was a lovely morning. Here is a picture of me from today in one of my new sun hats that Nana bought for me. I am trying it on to make sure it fits before my parents take me to the beach for the first time in the beginning of next month. I think I look pretty good.

Welcome to my page
My name is Isabella Nellie Griffith. The first name was chosen for me by my parents and it means “God’s vow” and my middle name was given to me after my dear great grand mother who I have only seen in pictures, but I heard she was a remarkable woman. Today I turned 15 weeks and it was one of my best days yet. I have barely cried today, even while teething. I made sure to laugh a lot and just remember to have fun. My Nana came over today to spend some quality time with me and boy did we have fun!!! She is such a fun Nana, we read, played, cooed, set, tried to walk together, I had a blast. She finally helped me name one of my favorite dolls (you can see in the picture below) we decided on the name Amy. I’ve always liked that name so it fits her perfect, thank you Nana! Some of the things I have recently enjoyed: giggling, smiling, playing, reading, bathing and of course you can’t forget the morning and afternoon naps. I now sleep through the night, I only bug my parents around 4A.M. and then I am good until 8A.M. I love my parents, they take great care of me. You might also notice in many of my pictures I am sucking on my hands, well, that’s because I am teething and it’s no fun let me tell you, it hurts so bad, I just want to cry, so I simply suck on my hands and everything just seems to be so much better. Don’t forget to check out my page soon, because I will be updating you with all that’s going on in my wonderful and blessed life.
